side effects on nightmares and waking dreams

I have been having waking dreams where I am somewhere other than where I really am. This last only for a few seconds. For example I will think I am at the grocery store shopping only to find I am in bed or in the car. I have been chewing the gum for 4 months and sometime I smoke with the gum. P_lease email me at hsaunders80@yahoo.com or answer on this forum.

Heather,

Thanks for your posted question.  Your symptoms are not the usual side effects of nicotine gum use.  This could be: a problem related to the gum; related to the fact you're also smoking while using the gum; an interaction between the nicotine gum and other medication you might be taking; or, a problem that is totally unrelated to the gum.  In all situations, you must contact your physician for an appointment as soon as possible.  He will advise you on whether you should continue the gum, as well as the possible causes for your waking dreams.  He might suggest some further studies in an effort to get to the bottom of your problem.

Best wishes.
