Thanks for your question. 

Strictly speaking, a health care provider cannot recommend that a patient take a prescription drug that has passed its expiration date.  I can tell you that once the expiration date has passed, prescription medication can degrade, usually slowly, over time.  This can lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the medication.  Two months is a short time and any degradation is likely to be minimal. 

 

I suggest you contact your physician and ask if it OK to take this medication.
