10-Minute Yoga Sequence for Relaxation (INFOGRAPHIC)
I do a lot of high impact interval training and running, which often leaves me stiff and tense–especially when combined with hours of sitting at work. While I love to crank my ipod and really sweat it out, sometimes the body just craves gentle stretching and relaxation. This is one of my go-to yoga sequences when I have little time and need to relieve tension fast. These poses are gentle yet effective and focus on the areas that trap unwanted stress like the lower back and upper shoulders. Next time you need a refresher–give this a try. You can practice this at any time of the day, but it’s especially great to do first thing in the morning to get your blood flowing and your brain thinking clearly.
