3 Exercises to Get Your Legs Summer Ready
Are you ready to have some amazing legs this summer? Do these three exercises at least two times per week to strengthen and make your legs look awesome
Walking lunges: These are my favorite go-to exercises! If you are a beginner, do these without any added weight. If you are more advanced, add weight with dumbbells or a barbell. Make sure your form is solid by taking a big step, keeping the front knee at a 90-degree angle, and keeping your chest upright. Check your form here.
Squats (with or without jumps): Squats are a great way to build strength in your legs and can be done anywhere! Put a chair behind you and practice sitting in the chair, without actually touching it. Press through your legs as you stand up and make sure to keep your core tight. As these get easier, make them more challenging by adding a jump at the top of the squat. Here is a good tutorial on how to make sure you are doing them correctly.
Step ups: are a great exercise that combines cardio and strength. Use a bench and make sure to keep your core tight as you step up. You should feel this through your glutes, hamstrings, and quadricep.
Aim for three sets of 12-15 of each exercise. You should feel fatigued but never any pain, so if something starts to hurt, please stop!
The most important rule is to remember to have FUN!
