Can I Take Amoxicillin For Acid Reflux Or Gerd?
i read that you can take amoxcillin for gerd or acid reflux to eliminate the bacteria,, is that true? ive been suffering with acid reflux for over two weeks now, but its decreasing from time to time, not like before that it hurts so bad, but now its not hurting me so much.. thanks
The link above discusses H Pylori infection and it's role in GERD/stomach ulceration. It's important to note that while many people have H Pylori as a cause of their stomach issues many do not. Further, if you do have the infection in general both an antibiotic and an acid reducer such as a proton pump inhibitor are used together to achieve healing. It is best to see a doctor to help you figure out both the cause of your discomfort and how to make it better.
