Another Biting Problem
The Zika virus is dominating conversations ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics. But another disease spread by mosquitos, yellow fever, is also raising concerns.
This year alone, Angola reports some 2,267 suspected cases of yellow fever.
At least 293 people have died. The World Health Organization is looking into the outbreak. It urges that anyone traveling to and from Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo get vaccinated for yellow fever.
However, WHO has not yet declared a public health emergency.
There is no cure for yellow fever, which can lead to high fevers, bleeding, jaundice, shock and organ failure.
