Can Banana’s Be Eaten On A Low Fiber Diet?
Yes, banana’s are considered a low fiber food, and for many people with IBD they are one of the few fruits that can be successfully eaten during a flare-up. That said, most of us find that eating them when they are yellow to yellow with only a few brown spots to be the best. When they getting browner skins that means the sugars in them are more developed and those sugars can cause some people more intestinal upset. So, don’t eat them green, but buy a few at a time and eat them when they are yellow.
