Best Medication For Falling And Staying Asleep
I take Trazadone for sleep. I fall asleep very quickly. I sleep for 5 hours and wake up. I can't fall back to sleep. Please help
Thank you for your question. In addition to the information posted above, there are several medications on the market that are specifically to help you sleep. Although you mentioned that you are taking trazodone for sleep, it is not FDA-approved as a sleep aid. Ambien, Ambien CR, Lunesta, Rozerem, and Sonata are all indicated for the treatment of insomnia. The makers of Ambien CR report that it is especially effective in helping you to fall asleep as well as stay asleep because it is made of two layers. The first layer dissolves immediately, helping you to fall asleep, and the second layer dissolves slowly throughout the night to keep you asleep. If you are interested in trying one of these medications, speak with your doctor about whether they could be right for you. I hope this helps!
Best of luck,
