How Much Is Too Much Bleeding After Prostate Biopsy
After a prostate biopsy patients can experience blood in their urine, semen and stool. The amount of bleeding will vary amongst patinets. Urine may be blood tinged for several days. It is uncommon to pass large amounts a blood in the urine. Should their be a restriction of urine flow due to the passage of large quantities of clots, you should see your Urologist. Blood may be present on toilet paper however it is not common to pass any clots from the rectum. Blood can be in the semen for up to 6 weeks.
