the high 50 point range. I have read that this can be an 'indication' of potential trouble.

Hi Jim,

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, so if I don't answer your question please resubmit.

A blood pressure of 118/62 or say 110/60 are both "splits" of 50 points or greater. Both blood pressures are very healthy. You can have a wide variance between diastolic and systolic and still have a healthy blood pressure.
