Answer

Dear bubbly0077:

Yes, you do need to go to be evaluated by a physician immediately! If you are not able to make it to the ER by yourself, call 911.

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a major risk factor for both heart attacks and strokes. You are symptomatic and are potentially at risk for a hypertensive crisis! The American Heart Association says Stage 2 Hypertension your stystolic number is 160 or higher and/or your diastolic is 100 or higher. It also says Hypertensive Crisis (Emergency care needed) sysolic higher than 180 or diastolic higher than 110.

Pleas seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY-take your medications with the pill bottle or your current medication list with you.

All the best,

Tara
