My Breast Feels Warm. Could This Be Related To Cancer?

It's not red, not itchy, not inflamed. Should I worry about cancer?

When a "hot" breast is accompanied by inflammation, redness, and swelling, it can be a symptom of an infection, like mastitis; or a relatively rare type of cancer called inflammatory breast cancer. However, our bodies have lots of transient sensations that aren't dangerous, and this could be one of them.

If this symptom has lasted longer than a menstrual period, I'd suggest seeing a doctor. If it's something new, and just started happening in the past week or two, I'd suggest watching to see if it changes: gets more pronounced, or if your develop itching, or breast pain. Call the doctor right away if you develop redness and swelling, along with the heat; if you have an infection, you want to get it treated ASAP.
