Can taking muscle relaxers reduce your threshold to seizures?

Health Professional

Full Question:

Can taking muscle relaxers reduce your threshold to seizures? I currently take Lamictal for seizure control and Zanaflex for neck pain. Can the Zanaflex lower my threshold?

Best Regards, Cindy.

Full Answer:

Dear Cindy;

I don't know that Zanaflex can do this, at least not in over 5000 patients on it per myself. Lamictal would _raise _ seizure thresholds and can help headaches and Migraines as well. We have many patients on this for these clinical problems.

Good luck,
John Claude Krusz and Teri Robert
