Cause Of Eye Photosentivity Where Sight Appears Like Am Over Exposed Photo+eye\headache

I have had a number of intermittent occurances of eye photosentivity, where everything looks like an over exposed photo, especially noticable on sunny days, where everything can look white apart from very shady regions, making impossible to see detail. Even when indoors everything can have a mottled effect. This is also accompanied by eye disconfort\ache, and a feeling of a start of an headache in the front of my forehead. Also dissyness can sometimes occure. this can last up to an half an hour. I am on a number of medications for high blood pressure, which well controlled, and also medications to treat brittle asthma. Any ideas?

Pupils are small as would be expected in sunlight, occurs in both eyes, when each is covered in turn.

Answer

High blood pressure medications can cause photosensitivity reactions. This article explains why and provides some alternatives. http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/81414.htm. Hopefully your doctor can find a suitable alternative. Good luck!
