Changes In Headaches And Then Sudden Stop

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can offer any insight to my headache experience. I am a 44 yr old female and have had migraines for the past 20 years. In addition to 1-2X month migraines I also have experienced other types of headaches my entire life. About 4-5 months ago, I started having these weird sensations in my upper forehead and eyes that would come on suddenly. It is difficult to desribe the syptoms, but I did not feel any pain, just weird sensations. It sort of felt like a swelling sensation and my eyes would feel weird. When I looked in the mirror, I just didn't quite look like myself through the eyes. I saw a neurologist and had an MRI done but everything came back normal. After about a month, the symptoms went away. I have noticed that ever since (about the past 4 months) I have not had the slightest sign of any migraine or headache. It is as if they completely went away. This is not normal for me as I am used to having almost daily headaches. I am just wondering if others have experienced a sudden stop in headaches/migraines after many years, and if the unusual symptoms I experienced (in forehead and eyes) prior to the headaches could be related. I know I should be happy and relieved that my headaches seem to be gone but it was such a sudden change that it concerns me. I offer any insight from others.

Hi Zoox,

Although odd, I suppose it can happen that Migraines stop. We do know that their patterns can change over time. If you've been seen by your doctor and everything looks good, that is great and I hope your Migraines stay away for a good long time.

Hopefully others will be around to share their experiences.

Happy Holidays
