Chest Pain That Feels Like A Pulled Muscle

I may need some help. The past few days my pulse has been up, and the past 12 hours I feel like I have pulled a muscle in my chest. Any ideas? I am 51 and have been smoking for over 30 years. I have undergone 11 cancer surgeries the past four years, as well.

Hi Doug,

With your medical history I recommend contacting your physician to determine if an evaluation is warranted. It could be a pulled muscle, but it might not. Chest pain of any kind, particularly with your medical history, is something that should be evaluated by a doctor immediately. Here's some information on rapid heart rates and some other conditions:
