I Have Chronic Pain In Left Hip, Lower Back, Knee And Ankle.

At night my hip area feels like it's on fire! I am on 6 Zydol a day and nothing has shown up in the MRI scan or X-rays, but I'm in constant pain. Can anyone help?

Answer

Sometimes the source of nerve pain does not show up in pictures (MRI's and X-rays). When a nerve is on fire, a nerve specialist (Neurologist) can help to track down the source of nerve pain. A good doctor will also be a good detective.

Even if a source is found, curing nerve pain is another difficult matter. Medications like gabapentin, Lyrica, or Elavil can be very useful to treat a firey nerve. Again, a specialist should be able to help you. Happy hunting.
