Is Citalopram Used To Treat Schizophrenia?

I am coming into a custody battle and I was prescribed Citalopram to prevent Post Partum Depression and a relapse into Bulimia after the birth of my second child 4 months ago. My daughter`s father is using against me the fact I am taking the drug and his legal counsel is stating I have shizophrenia. My diagnosis was depression and bulimia.

I agree with Christina. Citalopram is a Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor (SSRI) that is used for depression and sometimes for anxiety-related conditions. It is possible it could be used as an adjunct treatment in someone with schizophrenia who is also depressed but it isn't a recognized treatment in its own right for schizophrenia.
