Cold Meds from Your Coffee Maker
Who doesn’t enjoy a hot cup of tea when nursing a sore throat, cold, or the flu? Now, thanks to CVS Health, that warm drink can be even more soothing—it can actually contain cold medicine.
Designed to fit standard pod-style coffee makers like Keurig, the individual servings contain CVS brand day- and night-time cold and flu medicines. The pods can also be opened and added to hot water. The concept makes sense: hot drinks can relieve congestion and other cold symptoms and liquid medicine is typically absorbed faster than pills or capsules—providing faster relief.
According to a spokesperson for CVS Health, the pods can be recycled if they are properly sorted. Called CVS Health Cold & Flu Relief Single Serve Cups, the products are not affiliated with Keurig.
