I have had a constant headache for 7 weeks straight (24/7)with no relief of any kind. I have had the MRI’s, Ct-Scan, EEG, Physical therapy and blood work and all are normal. I have been to the neurologist who passed me on to the pain management who does not know what to do with me either. He tried trigger point injections and Occipital nerve blocks with no improvement at all. I am not sure where to go now please help! Lee.
There are literally hundreds of conditions that could cause such headache.
How many days a week are you taking something to try to relieve the headache? Taking Migraine abortive meds such as the triptans or ergotamines or any kind of pain med more than two or three days a week can make matters worse by causing medication overuse headache (MOH), aka rebound. See _Medication Overuse Headache - When the Remedy Backfires _ for more information on this.
It’s time to move on to a headache and Migraine specialist. It’s important to note that neurologists and pain management doctors aren’t necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What’s So Special?
