Constant Watery Vaginal Discharge?

I had unprotected sex three months ago. Since then, I have had no sores or lesions but constant white, milkish discharge. I have been tested for everything but herpes and now I'm wondering if maybe that's what I have, though I thought herpes came and went. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.

Hi mercury,

Only a doctor can correctly diagnose the problem, but what you're describing doesn't sound like a herpes outbreak. Abnormal discharge is generally associated with some form of vaginal infection, while herpes is characterized by small sores or lesions that appear in the same spot (or very close to it), blister, scab or remain as open sores, and then heal over, all over the course of 10-12 days. Unprotected sex can cause the transmission of bacteria, viruses, and other organisms from one person to the other. A test at a gynecologist's office is the best way to find out.
