My Daughter Gets A Sudden Severe Headache For 10-15 Seconds, Loses Consciousness And Is Paralyzed
My daughter gets a sudden severe headache which she describes as a sudden buildup of PRESSURE in her head that lasts from 15-30 seconds... it results in her losing consciousness for anywhere from 15 seconds to 10 minutes... upon regaining consciousness (her eyes open) she is completely paralyzed from HEAD to TOE. She regains controlled usage of her body in stages as time goes on from her head down to her toes. This can take from 2 minutes to 37 minutes to complete. When she opens her eyes, there is NO HEADACHE, NO PAIN, just the paralysis. WHAT IS GOING ON??
I'm sorry to say that I have no idea what's going on.
The symptoms you describe don't fit any form of Migraine or any other headache disorder I know of.
These symptoms could be any number of things, including a seizure of some kind. What has her doctor said? If her doctor doesn't have any answers, I suggest taking your daughter to a neurologist since the symptoms do seem to be neurological.
I'm sorry not to have been of more help and hope you find answers soon.
