Does Adderall Affect Opportunities Of Getting Pregnant
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 2 years now. I do have PCOS but I am ovulating and tests (ultrasounds, etc...) indicate that I should be able to get pregnant. I have been taking Adderral for about three years and it helps me out tremendously with my everyday functions. However, I was wondering if anyone has found that they were able to conceive once they stopped taking adderral? I know I must stop once I get pregnant but I can't find anything that says it would prevent me from getting pregnant and my Doc says it shouldn't have any effect on that.
I have been unable to find any information that indicates Adderall causes or affects one's chance of becoming pregnant, so in this case I would listen to your doctor. However, if you believe you can go without the medication for a few cycles it may help you determine if the Adderall is affecting you.
You mention that you stop taking the medication when you're ovulating, but the drug can stay in your system for some time. If you'd like to go off of the medication for a while be sure to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about how to stop taking it so you can maximize your opportunity for conception.
