Does Oxycodone Apap Contain Aspirin

Answer

There's no aspirin but there is acetaminophen. Acetaminophen is used to enhance the effectiveness of the narcotic pain reliever in the drug. Because too much acetaminophen can damage your liver you have to be careful about taking over the counter pain and cold medicines with acetaminophen in them when you are taking this drug. The amount of acetaminophen present in the drug is the second number on the drug; i.e. hydrocodone apap 10-650 has 650 mgs. of acetaminophen in it. If you're a healthy adult with no liver problems the maximum amount of acetaminophen you should take a day is 4000 mgs.
