Does Tramadol Contain Codeine

Can you tell me if Tramadol contains codeine? Thanks.

Answer

Tramadol is a 'synthetic analogue' of codeine; that is while it does not contain codeine per se it was manufactured to be just like codeine - so, for all intents and purposes, the answer is yes. Not surprisingly, it is used in the same way codeine is, and many people find it an effective painkiller. I hope you're getting decent pain relief for whatever condition you're experiencing!
