Do Eggs Cause High Blood Pressure?

Do you have to avoid eating eggs if you have high blood pressure?

Hi Sashank:

Eggs typically aren't a concern with causing high blood pressure, of course it would depend on how it is cooked (if you add a lot of salt that could cause increased blood pressure). Eggs have actually had a bad reputation supposedly causing high cholesterol. A large egg has 213mg of cholesterol. Recommended daily cholesterol is less than 300mg for a health person, less than 200mg for a person with cardiovascular disease.

Here is an article discussing Eggs and Cholesterol.

Also I've attached an article discussing High Blood Pressure: Food to Avoid and Managing High Blood Pressure Articles.

Hope this helps,

Take care,
