i feel a small lump above my nipple, i had my period last week, my breast feels sore the other is just fine . Should I go see my doctor ?
Answer
Hi - could be a hormonal thing… there’s no telling. If the lump doesn’t disappear in a couple of weeks — i.e., you can determine it wasn’t part of your menstrual cycle — then might as well get it checked out, since breast lumps that don’t go away should always be checked out. Pain isn’t generally a breast cancer symptom, so not sure why your breast is sore, but if it’s still sore, you could ask about that at the same time. So, wait and see - but do get it checked if it doesn’t disappear. Good luck - PJH
