I’m 17 And Felt A Lump In My Breast, Is It A Tumor?
I can a lump on the side of my right breast. It is not on the surface, so it can not be felt by simply touching the skin. But when I press on the area, I can feel a round hard lump that slightly moves as I press the opposite side. I have no clue what it could be, but I am worried because I know my aunt died from cancer. Could it be a tumor?
Hi - Please read our Guide to Teen Breast Development; it should help you understand what’s going on in your breasts. It’s unlikely you have a tumor. However, since you’re stressed about this, perhaps you should see a doctor to find out exactly what this lump is. Be aware that your aunt having cancer doesn’t raise your risk of breast cancer, OK? So don’t worry about that. Good luck - PJH
