what are syptoms of fibroglandular densities of the breast

Answer

“Dense breasts” is what you’re describing: breasts that have more fibroglandular tissue than fat. The result is that your risk of breast cancer is VERY slightly increased; and it’s more difficult for a mammogram to pick up any abnormalities, and thus women with dense breasts are sometimes diagnosed at a later stage of breast cancer than women with less-dense breasts. In addition, since dense breasts tend to feel lumpy, it’s more difficult to do a breast self-exam.

Many younger women have dense breasts; and by the way, it’s a clinical condition, one whose terms are defined and identified, usually by a radiologist. Dense breasts aren’t something you say you have, just because your breasts are small. I don’t believe they’re “caused” by HRT or anything else; you have dense breasts, or you don’t; just like you’re tall, or short.

Hope this helps - PJH
