Finger Cramps At Night

I have arthritis and often wake up screaming at night with cramps/terrible pain in the last two fingers of my right hand. After rubbing them for a minute or two the pain subsides and I can sleep again. When I wake up screaming i get an eerie feeling that I'm passing out. What could be the reason and remedy?

Answer

you should after you talk to your doctor about this. While you wait for an appointment, try an over-the-counter muscle relaxant before you go to bed - it's possible that what you're experiencing is muscle cramps and a muscle relaxants might help prevent this. However, they could also be a number of other things, so you should definitely see your doctor.
