First Period In 11 Months.

I have been going through the change for 7 years. I haven't had a period for 11 months, until today. Is this normal. .

Answer

Hi Sue, As frustrating as it is, having a period after 11 months of none is normal. I've had patients go 12 and 13 months and have 1-4 more periods. The year is the technical measure we use, but it's not hard and fast. As long as you're making enough estrogen to build up a lining, no matter how slowly, you can still get periods.
