I'm Fit And My Level Of Cholesterol And Triglycerid Are High!!
I'm 35 year old. I do not smoke, I don't drink alcohol, I have an active lifestyle. I'm doing regularly workout and abs. My weight is normal and I'm considered fit. I take care about what I eat. I had a blood test and I discovered that my cholesterol level is high: 263mg/dl and the level of triglycerides is 322 mg/dl. It is above the normal.
I am concerned about these results so I made my own research. I discovered that the liver is responsible of 80% of the Cholesterol Level and only 20% is depending on the type of food we consume. So focussing on the food is good but not sufficient.
So, I have a real issue here. What should I do and how do I check that my liver is functioning correctly? Do you advise artery check to see if there is any risky deposit?
My family has no pbs of cholesterol whatsoever.
I have been taking proscar to treat my hair loss and I stopped this medication few months ago.
