What is Fixed Anterior Perfusion Defect?

Answer

Hi Melissa,

Here is some information about a thallium stress test, which is a test that diagnoses perfusion defect. The way I understand it, if perfusion (blood flow) is not normal when you exercise this is a perfusion deficit. Anterior just refers to the part of the heart. Because the blood is not flowing well in the anterior part of the heart, this may indicate that there is a blockage.

Best of luck,
