can you tell me what it is. or what can be causing this? the breast alsow feels stiff sometimes…im far from my period. and im 16
Pain that people describe as “burning” is sometimes associated with nerve pain. You might have something pressing on a nerve, maybe a tight bra? If your breasts are still growing, the pain might be caused by stretching skin and tissue. Even if you are finished with puberty, weight gain can have a similar effect. This article on breast pain will give you some guidelines about how to evaluate whether you need to see a doctor right away. If the pain just started, just observe it for a while and see if it goes away when your period begins. Let your mom or another adult know. She can help you decide whether you need to see a doctor that needs a doctor’s attention. Sometimes breast pain is a sign of infection or other underlying problem. Most breast cancer tumors do not hurt, and breast cancer is so rare among women your age as to be almost non-existent, so you should not waste a minute worrying about breast cancer. It’s great that you are aware of breast changes. Do check with a doctor if the pain persists or gets worse.
