My husband has an enlarged prostate, restricted blood flow, sometimes a little blood in the urine and some blood in the stool; he has now anemia. He is only 30 years old. What could this be?

Answer

Most 30-year-old men do not have an enlarged prostate or restriction of their urinary flow. It is also abnormal to have blood in the urine or the stool. These symptoms associated with the anemia may indicate a severe health problem. Your husband needs an immediate evaluation with a urologist.

Please let us know how he is doing.
