Can You Take Ibuprofen With Prednisone?

I have tendinitis that results in a very, very sore shoulder. I started with prednisone this morning (8 days), but tonight my shoulder is really hurting. Can I take ibuprofen?

That would depend on your medical history. I am not a doctor or a nurse, so I can't diagnose you. I did check ibuprofen and prednisone at, and it shows a moderate risk. Mostly it references issues with GI bleeds. It says to make sure you eat something if you take both of these drugs to protect your stomach and intestines. I can tell you that I have taken Celebrex and prednisone at the same time during a flare. I have a chronic gastritis, so I made sure I ate something when I took either of those medications, usually bread. It seems protect the stomach. Hope this helps!
