Are Itchy Red Bumps On The Back Of My Head Psoriasis?

I have red very itchy red bumps on the back of my head along the hairline—it doesn't itch constantly, but enough of an itch at times to even keep me awake. Is it possible that this is psoriasis? If so, how do I treat it?

The best way to treat this would be to see a dermatologist to determine what might be causing the rash and itching. In the meantime, here are a few possibilities:

Scalp psoriasis - Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition characterized by red, itchy, scaly patches. It can occur anywhere on the body, including the scalp. It can be a single patch or several patches. It can appear on your forehead, the back of your neck or behind your ears. It is thought to be caused by an autoimmune reaction.

Eczema - Eczema is a red, itchy rash, sometimes occurring with a thickening or discoloration of the skin. It usually appears in the folds of the elbows and knees. It is often genetic and may be caused by an autoimmune reaction.

You really need a dermatologist or doctor to look at this to see what is the cause and to get appropriate treatment.
