told me everything was fine, no redness, swelling, or irratation, vocal cords are fine, said I had acid reflux ( when I had no symptoms of acid reflux or heartburn) and to take prilosec (20mg) for 2-3 weeks, proceeded to get worse voice wise, went to a presciption form (40mg) voice got a little better, am now done with prescription voice has good days and bad days, but now I am suffering from severe heartburn ( when I had no heartburn before) no matter what I eat or how little, including water! My question,“Can taking acid reflux medicine cause acid reflux or heartburn when not having it before?”
Oh my. Time to check in with the doctor about this. Maybe someone else reading this will have some advice.
