I Was Just Diagnosed With Atypical Ms. What Does This Diagnosis Mean?

I have just been released from the hospital after an episode where I collapsed at home. After a week of tests with no indications of placque (MRIs, Lumbar Puncture, EEG, Eye and Ear Nerve Conduction), and IV prendisone drip for 3 days, I was released with a diagnosis of Atypical MS. Exactly what does this mean?

Answer

Hi Alison,

I'm sure that you are glad to be home from the hospital. Without doing some research, I do not have an easy answer for you. However, I am aware of a blogger who also lives with Atypical MS. Cindy may be able to give you more information. Her blog is Atypical Multiple Sclerosis.
