I do have fibermylagia but my friend thinks it’s sinuses. It’s only on the left side.
Sinuses are a definite possibility. So is a muscle spasm from tight muscles in your jaw. (You might want to try a warm moist compress and see if that helps out.) Pain in the cheek area can also be due to dental issues and there are aches and pains of fibromyalgia that can appear and then disappear at random times.
But when to start worrying about pain? There’s something called the 'two week rule". Because most pains are due to joint, nerve and muscle issues that usually resolve themselves within 2 weeks, so long as you can’t identify an accident or some sort of trauma that occurred, many doctors think two weeks is a good time to wait for mild to moderate pain to resolve itself. (If the pain severe and it happens suddenly, on the other hand, go to the doctor immediately…)
