I Just Noticed A Single Small Crust/scale Over My Right Nipple.
I just noticed a single small crust/scale over my right nipple. When I tried to examine it carefully, it came off. I don't have any burning or itchy sensation there. My mother had breast cancer. Is this cause for concern?
Probably just a minor skin issue, Rachna. Keep yur eye on it - if the scaliness/crustiness returns and increases - is more widespread and constant - then best to see a doctor. You might have eczema, or an allergy. Paget's disease is a rare form of breast cancer that affects the nipple, but what you describe is much more likely to be from another cause. Please read our post on nipple issues for more information. Good luck - PJH
