When I went to get a refill of Hyoscyamine 0.125 I was told by CVS it was no longer available in any form, generic or brand. Going to a private pharmacy I was told that Aristos that sells Hyomax the equivalent of Hyoscyamine/Levsin bought up all the available raw material for this medication, thereby cornering the market and is now charging Brand Name prices. As the expession goes…It’s all about money. What if anything is available in generic form & price that is equivalent to this product?
What a lousy situation. It appears that hyoscyamine was the generic form of the drug. According to Drugs.com it also sells under the brand names Anaszpas. Cystospaz, Donnamar as well as Levsin. You might want to check those out.
