Migraine On A Certain Day Of The Week Every Week?
I have been suffering from migraines for 20 years. I have tried everything. One thing I notice is that I tend to get Migraines on Sundays. I have tried going to bed and getting up at the same time. I try to keep myself hydrated on Saturday. I try to eat at the same times that I eat during the week. I am not finding any pattern other than it is Sunday?
I do get migraines other times as well. I just notice that I'm consistently getting them on Sunday. My neurologist was no help.
Welcome to MyMigraineConnection!
It can be tricky to figure out Migraine triggers, but there has to be something. A few possible triggers to consider:
• Foods: Are there any foods that you eat only on Sunday or within the 48 hours before those Sunday Migraines start? Foods that are triggers for you can trigger a Migraine for up to 48 hours after you eat them. Some of us have food triggers, some of us don't. The best way to determine if you do is to do an elimination diet for a while. For more information and a workbook on this, see Managing Migraine - Migraine Trigger Foods.
• Environmental triggers: Are there places you go or people you see only on Sundays? If so, there are a number of possible environmental triggers -- residual fumes from cleaning supplies; fragrances from perfumes, lotions, etc.; lighting, loud sounds.
In situations like yours, we have to be trigger detectives. I hope some of these suggestions help you.
Please keep me posted?
