Mild Chest Pain For 4 Months..

Hello, My name is Derek, I'm 34 years old. I have noticed for the last 3 or 4 months that I've had chest discomfort with occasional shooting pains in left side of chest. First of all, I'm athletic. I'm 6 foot 4 inches and about 235 lbs. I have an ok diet, though its not perfect, I try to eat as well as I can. Also, I have no history of heart problems in my family. I work out probably 3 or 4 times a week, I never have these pains when I lift weights or run. I sit down a lot at my job and I have a long drive home. These pains always occur when I'm sitting, never when standing or doing something. This is obviously very frustrating as I have been to the doctor several times and have had an EKG done and chest xrays, blood tests, everything came back good. This is also frustrating because I still have the aches and I don't know what to do. About the time I remember the pain started, I really thought I was dying, I was extremely nervous and I think I had a panic attack. Since then I've noticed these pains. I've researched these things on the web for months and I know Anxiety can be a cause of these symptoms. I guess I just want to feel at ease that it's nothing serious, deep down I know it's not. But there is still the "what if" factor. Any feedback regarding this would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Hi scarhead,

Here is some info on panic attacks and sharp chest pain that may add to your previous research.
