Can You Get Neck Pain With Shingles And Rash? I Have Been Diagnosed With Shingles But My Neck Pain Is Worse Then The Pain From My Shingles

Answer

Shingles can happen in the neck; in fact, the most common place for shingles pain is the neck and back and trunk of the body. Rashes are not always seen with shingles so it is possible to have neck pain, say, without a rash due to shingles but most cases do have a rash.

You might determine if your neck pain flares up with your known shingles pain; this could suggest that that virus might be involved in both types of pain.

Diagnosing shingles without rash is not easy. Be sure to get a thorough workup in your neck area to be sure that other conditions are not causing your pain. Good luck!
