Can A Nissen Fundoplication Procedure Be Reversed?

My husband had a small hiatal hernia. The surgeon performed a laparoscopic full nissen fundoplication procedure. Since the surgery, some 3 months ago, my husband has lost a large amount of weight as a result of the inability to eat a meal. He sometimes only manages a glass of water and then can eat nothing for the next 48 hours. It is painful and stressful. Can this procedure be reversed so he has his quality of life back?

Yes. The procedure can be reversed since there is no actual removal of tissue but more of a tightening up/sewing together.
