Is It Normal To Get Dead Skin Cells On Your Breast?

Just wondering because after that boil I had for a week , I notice some small dead skins on my right breast I take a shower every day and when I dry up the dead skin started to shred off my breast? Is it a normal thing on your skin or is it a symptom?

Answer

Evonna, your skin is always dying, and then flaking off; it happens to all of us. However, it sounds like you might be experiencing more dead skin loss than usual, if you're noticing it coming off in "shreds." This might indeed be related to the boil you had, but so far as I know, it's not a symptom of illness; and it's surely not a known symptom of breast cancer. If it doesn't abate in a few days, you might want to check with a doctor, OK? Take care - PJH
