Is It Normal To Have A Metallic Taste In Your Mouth Before Migraines?
Is it normal to have a metallic taste in your mouth before migraines or headaches? I am in the middle of my second migraine cycle and this is a new symptom for me. The metallic taste started a day before my first headache and has occurred on and off throughout this cycle which has lasted 4 days now. I am seeing the doctor tomorrow but was curious if anyone else has experienced this strange taste with their migraines?
A strange taste in the mouth can be part of a Migraine attack for some people. It can also be related to the medicines they take for their attacks. There are quite a few odd migraine symptoms that don't get talked about as often.
It's important that you talk to your doctor about your symptoms so he can take a look at your migraine medication and alter your dosage if needed. You may consider doing some research on the medication you take to see if this is a known symptom - that way you have some background when speaking with your doctor.
