It just looks like an age spot but I think it can't be that at my age. I have never sunbathed topless and I am keeping my eyes on the spot, it hasn't changed in a week. The few things I have found on the Internet about this suggest a hormonal imbalance. Could that be right?

Answer

Christine, the best advice we can give you is to keep your eye on the spot. Thankfully, this isn't a typical breast cancer symptom, so please don't stress about that. If the spot starts to change; or if your nipple becomes itchy, sore, or seems infected, then it would be best to see a doctor to find out what's up. Other than that, if there's no change in a month or so, you might want to see a doctor anyway; breast changes lasting longer than a month should always be seen by a doctor. Good luck - hopet his resolves on its own soon. PJH
