I Have Pain In My Legs Just Mostly At Night Sometimes It Starts In My Foot And Goes Up To My Hip And Some Times It Feels Like My Foot Is Just Kinda Burning On The Inside

I have pain in my legs, mostly only at night. Sometimes it starts in my foot and goes up to my hip, and sometimes it feels like my foot is sort of burning on the inside. What could be causing this?

Answer

You should see your doctor about this. Burning pain can be a sign of a nerve problem called peripheral neuropathy that can be caused by a wide number of conditions. Because diabetes sometimes announces itself first with foot and leg problems that is always a condition that needs to be checked. People with fibromyalgia also often have leg problems and there is restless leg syndrome as well - although you might have noticed that keeping your legs in motion was helpful if that was the case. There are other possibiities. The thing to do is to get this checked out by your doctor. Good luck!
